A.katuocloud is a fully private cloud storage service built by an engineer with spare server capacity. It runs on an enterprise-grade Dell PowerEdge server and gives you file storage, document editing, and video calls — all in one place. The defining feature is complete data confidentiality: even the operator cannot see the contents of your files.

A.After you submit the sign-up form, we'll send you a QR code. Scan it with the WireGuard app, turn on the VPN, and you can access Nextcloud immediately. The entire setup takes just a few minutes.

A.No phone number or email address is required. All you need is a name (a nickname is fine), a username, and a passphrase you choose yourself.

A.Yes. On mobile, use the Nextcloud and WireGuard apps available for both iOS and Android. On desktop, access Nextcloud through any browser on Windows, Mac, or Linux — and the WireGuard desktop client is available for all platforms too.

A.That's correct. All access goes through an encrypted WireGuard VPN tunnel, making traffic invisible to the outside world. The system is designed so that even server administrators cannot easily determine the contents of your files.

A.WireGuard is a modern, fast, and lightweight VPN protocol that uses state-of-the-art encryption. Since all access to katuocloud passes through this encrypted tunnel, the risk of your data being intercepted on the public internet is dramatically reduced.

A.Each device has its own independent connection key, so we can revoke access for just the lost device without affecting any of your other devices. Please contact support as soon as possible.

A.The server is self-operated and located within Japan. Your data is never handed off to overseas cloud providers.

A.You can store any type of file — photos, videos, music, documents, PDFs, and more. Storage starts at 200 GB and can be expanded in 100 GB increments as needed.

A.Yes. Collabora Online is built in, letting you create and edit Word, Excel, and PowerPoint-style documents entirely in your browser. No additional office software purchase needed.

A.Yes. With Nextcloud Talk, subscribers can make unlimited video calls, voice calls, and send chat messages to one another — with no time limits.

A.Yes. The base plan covers 3 devices, so one person can use 3 devices, or 3 people can each use 1 device — it's entirely up to you. Additional devices beyond the third can be added for ¥500/month each.

A.The base plan is ¥1,980/month. It includes 3 devices, 200 GB of storage, unlimited video calls, and document editing — all with no hidden fees.

A.Additional devices (4th and beyond) cost ¥500/month each. Extra storage is ¥500/month per 100 GB. For example, upgrading to 500 GB means adding 300 GB for an extra ¥1,500/month.

A.We accept credit card payments. You can cancel at any time — just contact support and we'll take care of it.

A.First, make sure the toggle in the WireGuard app is switched ON. If the connection still fails, try scanning the QR code again from scratch. If the issue persists, please contact support.

A.Please double-check your username and password. Note that Nextcloud is only accessible while connected to the WireGuard VPN — make sure your VPN is ON before trying again.

A.Please check whether you've reached your storage limit. If you'd like to add more storage, contact support and we'll get it sorted.
